1. Remove Filters From The Range Hood
First step is to remove all the filters from the range hood body. This is important because canopy filters are the main part of your range hood system.
Removing them is easy. In most cases, you can either pop out or slide. Others you may have to push and slide. Just make sure you don’t damage them while removing. If you face any difficulties, you may want to cross check with your equipment manual.
2. Soak Filters In Hot Water, With Soap & Baking Soda
The next step is to start washing and cleaning your filters. First, thing is to fill up your sink with hot water. The hotter, the better. Then add soap and baking soda into the water. They both act as a strong degreaser, which helps remove all the grease and grime effectively.
Mix the mixture well, then gently soak the filters into the solution. Make sure the submerge the filters as deep as possible. Let them sit for at least 30 minutes. Keep in mind that if you haven’t cleaned your filters for a while, you might want to let them soak for an extended period of time.
3. Scrub The Filters
